Ismosys seals pan-European partnership and releases details of new sub-micron BCD technology

Ismosys has concluded a pan-European rep/stockist agreement with Telefunken Semiconductors (TS), a specialist in advanced niche technologies and an acknowledged leader in the development and manufacture of Power Management and high-performance interface ASIC platforms that target Analog and Mixed Signal applications.

According to Herbert Scheitler, Telefunken Semiconductors’ Director Sales Europe,  Ismosys was chosen for its proven pan-European sales ability:  “Ismosys’ nine European offices are well placed to play an important strategic role in helping TS to propagate our unique technology and extend our service levels to a rapidly expanding European customer base”, Scheitler said. “Ismosys already addresses our target European accounts.  In addition its to value added programs - such as its web portal Ismosys.com, which encompasses on-line marketing and sales - Ismosys operates a unique follow up partner program with IDH/ODM/CEM customers.”

Announcing his company’s partnership with TS, Nigel Watts, Ismosys MD cited the company’s new TS700V state-of-the-art 0.35 μm Bipolar CMOS DMOS (BCD) technology as being typical of TS innovation: “The unique combination of sub-micron CMOS with a 700V power NMOS and a dual metal layer option enables a new level of integration”, Watts said. “The TS700V process offers a competitive on-resistance area product (RDSon x A) enabling cost effective integration of smart power devices. This technology is ideal for applications such as off-line switching AC/DC converters, LED lighting, and Industrial Motor Control”.

TS700V environment (PDK) provides design engineers with the ability to accelerate time to market for highly integrated, low cost, energy efficient solutions for today’s most power sensitive applications. “TS’s feature-rich device portfolio will equip our design engineer partners to optimize trade-offs when attempting to achieve stringent regulatory requirements such as Energy Star and Blue Angel”, concluded Watts.
